Communications Strategy Supervisor

 

SUMMARY:

 

This role is responsible for ownership of strategic planning across all media channels.  Candidate must have solid foundation of knowledge and experience across all media channels, with an emphasis on digital media. Candidate must exhibit a proven ability to plan, execute and analyze digital campaigns across social, display and video. A firm understanding of both ROI driving tactics and branding principles will be critical for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing media strategy, planning, campaign management, data, insights and analytics
  • Oversees/​manages planner/assistant planner and day-to-day operation of all media activity
  • Demonstrates initiative by researching and identifying valuable information/​insights to improve media product
  • Determines and supervises the best possible implementation of all approved communication plans and projects
  • Aid in the development of campaign set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, campaign construction best-practice, performance forecasting, and optimization recommendations, ensuring maximum impact and efficiency of each campaign.
  • Learns and understands all phases of the clients’ marketing objectives and provides media recommendations to deliver against these objectives
  • Understands all proprietary research tools/​processes and applies learning during communication planning
  • Seek out creative and innovative first to market solutions to meet client objectives
  • Prepares and presents communication plans, as needed, including objectives, strategy, rationale, post-campaign analysis, and all backup materials
  • Establish strong working relationship with partner agencies (where/​when applicable), delivering a seamless communications process
  • Demonstrates agility via multi-tasking – multiple brands, strategic development and plan stewardship, management of Planner
  • Develops collaborative working relationship with all internal and external teams, ensuring they fully understand brand’s communication objectives/​strategies

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of 360-degree media strategy and activation experience across both Digital and Traditional Channels.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize projects for self and direct reports
  • Excellent understanding of all media types, strategy, and plan architecture fundamentals
  • Proven ability in training and leadership capability
  • Experience with media research tools (MRI, Kantar, etc.)
  • Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills required
  • Must have strong knowledge of Campaign Manager (trafficking and reporting) and Google Analytics
  • Must have hands on platform experience planning and activating paid social campaigns across Facebook/Instagram and Twitter

Digital Media Activation Associate

 

SUMMARY:

 

This role is key to the development and execution of digital campaigns, providing strategic planning support, activation and post campaign analysis across all digital channels. Candidate must have solid foundation of knowledge and experience across all digital media channels. Candidate must exhibit a proven ability to plan, execute, report and analyze digital campaigns across paid social, display, native and video. A firm understanding of both branding principles and ROI driving tactics will be critical for this position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Organize, implement and manage the day-to-day digital media planning process
  • Contribute to media strategy for clients planning on a local and national basis
  • Aid in the development of campaign set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements and campaign construction
  • Maintain budgets, creative trafficking, and invoicing
  • Strong client interaction on a day-to-day basis
  • Steward campaign pacing and optimization activity
  • Participate in the development of presentations for both existing and new clients
  • Update Supervisor on status of current accounts on an ongoing basis, identifying opportunities to optimize for maximum performance and elevating key issues or concerns as they arise
  • Reviews all reporting dashboards for accuracy while identifying thoughtful performance insights for post campaign reports and presentations
  • Maintain a positive rapport with media vendor partners, keeping up to date with the latest trends in the marketplace.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 year’s digital media activation experience
  • Experience in digital and social activation including familiarity with Google Ads and Social UIs (Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest, etc)
  • Deep working knowledge of third party ad servers (Double Click/Google Campaign Manager)
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Dependable, proactive, detail oriented, excellent attendance
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments and set priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Participate in the development of presentations for both existing and new clients

  • Assist in the management of Search Engine Marketing Campaigns on Google and Bing
  • Support Account Managers on all SEM issues
  • SEM performance tracking, analysis and reporting

  • Create ad copy and perform keyword research, analysis and optimizations
  • Manage and track spend across all SEM campaigns

Job Qualifications: 

  • 2-4 years of SEM experience
  • 4-year college degree; required
  • Google Ads experience. Google Certified Professional preferred.
  • Search Ads 360 experience a plus
  • Experience optimizing SEM campaigns through ad copy, keywords, audience and bid strategy optimizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interact and manage expectations of clients, internal departments and management
  • Excellent data analysis skills and strong computer proficiency required
  • Strong Excel skills are crucial
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and highly detail-oriented habits
